Hi
Lovely sunny day here in Rochester today ,
Post today is of the
John next door Range The Lantern.
I just love this Lantern and will be using it all year round , but for this one I have used it for Christmas.
I have made this one doing a rust technique, I remember my nan having an old Lantern in her garden when I was a young girl, and at Christmas she used to go and get some holly and twigs and put it in the Lantern and place it at the front door, it didn't have much glass in it as it got smashed over the years but she made it look so Christmassy, so this is where I got the idea from, My Nan .
John Lockwood will be back on Hochanda on the 6th November with the Lantern And the Poinsettia using the Foam.
This is back in stock at the www.art-of-craft.co.uk

For this frame card I used Flowering dog wood stamp and die
Classic vines stamp and die from Heartfelt Creations.
to get these stunning stamps and dies click on the Heartfelt icon on the side panel.
I also used the Elizabeth Crafts Happy Frame.
for the background I used white linen paper scored down at random inches and half inches.
I then used distress ink pad's and swiped down the page , then when dry I dry brushed some white gesso here and there.
I arranged flowers and vines and added some water droplets.
I really liked the way this background lent it self so well with the blue Dogwood's.

For my entry this month is a little bit different for me.
This can be done for a birthday, wedding, can you imagine new baby ones with little clay baby's inside and decorated with any of the wonderful flowers and leaves from Heartfelt Creations.
I was a tutor at a retreat last week and this is what I taught the ladies and they absolutely loved making this, just hope you do as well.
The ball is attached to the lid to make a double impact when you take it out, But it swings freely inside the box, but you can detach it to hang it from a stand after it has been gifted.
The box takes 6 pieces of A4 Card, I wont put the tutorial on here yet as I had to make the box to take the decorated ball, but if any one would like me to I will.
I used a plastic ball 12 cm, it comes in 2 half's
I put De'cor Diamante stones and a crystal heart inside closed the ball up and decorated it.
I used
Large Sweet Peony HCPC 3820
Large Sweet Peony die HCD1 7174
Small Sweet Peony HCPC 3819
Small Sweet Peony die HCD1 7173.
Heartfelt Creations Art Foam
I coloured the foam with oil Pastels to give a soft look to the beautiful Peony's.
Ribbon pearls and due drops from my stash.
Thank you so much for popping in today, enjoy the rest of the hop.
Much love as always
Martine xxxxx
